Indeed, stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behaviour. Being able to recognize common stress symptoms can help you manage them. Stress that’s left unchecked can contribute to hair loss or discolouration and many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes, to name a few. Studies have shown that short-term stress boosts the immune system, but chronic stress significantly affects the immune system that ultimately manifests an illness. Until we become aware of those stress factors, we will no progress
I know stress all too well; having a rare blood condition (an MPN), stress management is an essential one for me, and my body keeps me accountable to it. I have no doubt my stressdis-ease is what contributed to this disease I have. And until I learned what they were I have now since been able to manage my ET, and not have it manage me. Now I call it my beautiful rude awakening.
I have Essential thrombocytosis (ET), or primary thrombocythemia, which is a rare disorder in which the body produces too many platelets for unknown reasons. I am also Jak2 positive. This can cause abnormal blood clotting or bleeding. Thrombocytosis is a condition in which there is an excessive number of platelets in the blood. Platelets are blood cells in plasma that stop bleeding by sticking together to form a clot. Too many platelets can lead to certain conditions, such as stroke, heart attack or a clot in the blood vessels. Managing the varied stress factors is what helps me to keep my clots at bay.
In 2019 I was rushed to the hospital, and we discovered I had 80% of my lungs covered in blood clots; this was the year I had my NDE. After that is was a health journey of over nine years, going in for test after test, and often weekly lab tests. Until they discovered I had this rare condition we call ET. Most people do not get this until they are 65 years or older. During this time, I also found I had Celiac and Psoriasis. I explored a wide range of health care practices, including Western Medical and Naturopathic remedies, self-help literature, psychologists, lightworkers, to name a few. The result of exploring these venues was the awareness that the illness was caused by unresolved suppressed emotional trauma and stress. It brought me to the realization that ultimately it was up to me to do the inner work to heal and manage my stress contributors.
Also, having been involved in many aspects of the hair industry for several years, I have a significant role in many people’s pivotal moments; the good and the ugly. I learned how people manage stress and how it affects their health physically and mentally. I began to see there are four categories of stress, along with subcategories within each:
- Trauma – residential stress
- In-take – food or medications
- Physical – aches and pains
- Mental – emotional pressure
I delved deep into cognitive behaviours (we often do not know what we do not know) and Epigenetics. Also, having had an NDE and already being intensely aware of Energy and being able to transcribe it, I learned to coach stress management, show people where their stress was seeping in and helped them to address it or perceive it another way. Do not forget I have post-secondary education in Marketing, where we are trained to study peoples perceptions. I help with stress awareness and help people see things in a new light.
If you would like to book a coaching session (you do not need to do the Epigenetics test for this), here I walk you through a discovery session for stress awareness and create a coaching method specific to you. In addition, I have various fundamental skills, tools, and contacts I may use for better stress management in the stuck area(s). Follow the button below to book your first session.
Hair is known to be one of the most effective biomarkers in nature. This is because it shares the same embryological origin as that of the brain. I have a tool to do a hair/root test and screen to see what contributing stress factors you may have, and believe it or not, your hair tells it all. It is all in the hair. If you would like to book this test, please visit the link in the button below to learn more.
